A classically trained pianist and singer, Ben draws inspiration from pop, rock, musical theatre, and soul.  With over 12 years of experience in acappella and musical theatre, Ben is a seasoned collaborator in the studio and on the stage.  Ben has worked with musical talent such as Emmy-winning vocal arranger Ben Bram (Pentatonix, Acappella Academy); Special Tony Award recipient and Drama Desk winner Jason Michael Webb ("The Color Purple"), singer/actress Shelley Regner (Pitch Perfect, DCappella) and Broadway's Boise Holmes and Ryan McCartan.


Having composed and collaborated on music for national TV, commercial radio spot, viral video content, web series, and theatrical productions, Ben approaches composition from the perspective of story, character, and emotion.

Flashmob magic trick

Flashmob music written and produced by Ben Palacios for James Galea's "Best Trick Ever" series  on ABC Australia.  Context: James had a pedestrian pick three things -- a card, a number between 1 and a million, and a celebrity -- the flashmob was the reveal.

Oh Suzanne

I wrote this song for my grandmother and played it for her on her 90th birthday. She has since passed away.  Suzanne Truss was was a piano teacher.  She taught me to love music, and to love myself.
